It leapt at me up from the book - The answers I had overlooked.
The scales fell finally from my eyes - His Spirit breath flew from the skies,
And there before me in my hands - The Lord revealed his master plans.
Ask and it shall open.  Seek and find it out.
The only thing that bars the way are locks and chains of doubt.
Stretch forth thy hand, grab hold of faith and you'll grab hold of me.
The world of doubt has many doors - Faith is the master key.
"Believe," I say.  Believe don't doubt.  There's power when it's this you shout...
"I can do", I say.  I surely can.  With Christ I formulate my plans.
No obstacle can hinder me, My shield of faith is strong, you see.
It can see beyond my circumstance.  It sees me through, it's not by chance.
Through faith in God, and in his power.  On me his promised blessings shower.
So, believe and hope and trust I will.  And by each blessing, Thus fulfill...
The call of God - "follow My Son", and pray one day you will become,
Like Him, in thought and voice and deed.  Heir To a throne - As was decreed.
Yes, Jesus is the answer.  Jesus is the way.
So ask Him in your heart right now, It may be your last day.

Catch and Release
By: John Turner

As I sit upon the banks of life and watch the crowds rush by,
I bait my hook and cast my line - Determined, one more try.
For surely, one is hungry and needs yet to be fed,
caught up in the raging waters - Almost overhead.
I got a nibble once or twice and tried to reel them in.
But they were to defiant yet - Caught in the stream of sin.
Just then I saw a glimmer, slowly making way,
against the mighty river that's so powerful today.
I said a little prayer as he fought his way upstream,
he was determined he could make it, or, at least that's how it seemed.
I searched my tackle box of scriptures and went in to lend a hand,
I knew that it meant sink or swim - It was his final stand.
I put on my hip waders and I met him halfway there,
and instead of trying to hook him - Used a net with utmost care.
I led him to a peaceful spot, so quiet and so still,
and gave him the redeeming meal - My mission was fulfilled.
I had brought another swimmer to the shores of Galilee,
and I spoke the words of life to him that were to set him free.
