Vision Statement
The Internet has been a breeding ground for filth and perversion and every sort of iniquity. Pornography, violence, and every vile blasphemy is available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Unfortunately, the enemy has been hard at work cultivating this soil and his efforts have borne great fruit. Christians have been slow to pick up the challenge and enter the fray upon this battleground-Basically we have been asleep at the wheel. Most web-sites featuring Christianity or Christian themes are either stuck on some denominational slant, done in a slipshod fashion or both.
The vision of Rushing Wind, therefore, is simple. We foresee a high-quality site featuring games, testimonies, short sermons, chat rooms and Christian links that will draw the sinner in. We plan to lean towards interactivity as much as possible. This concept edges away from the traditional methodology of Christianity in the sense that long discourses by professional clergy will not be the norm. Instead, average Christians will be encouraged to submit poems, jokes, short Bible studies, testimonies and pictures that would glorify God. We want to introduce the Lost to the God who has given us every good thing and who loves when His people are reconciled to Him! We will provide the new convert with discipleship, but we would also like to encourage him or her to find strong Bible-believing people to assemble with in the area in which he or she lives.
Our goal is to point people in the direction of the kingdom and reconcile those who would never enter an organizational meeting of their own volition, but who need Christ as much as that person who will come to a Sunday morning service.
